Payment data: Processed entirely by Razorpay. MCB does not store your card details.
Usage data: Pages visited, portal access activity.
Academic order data: Assignment briefs, file uploads, word count requirements.
Communication data: WhatsApp messages, emails sent to us.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To provide job portal access and curate job listings.
To deliver Career Growth Plan services (such as CV reviews and LinkedIn optimisation).
To process and deliver Academic Assistance orders.
To send transactional emails (e.g., payment confirmations, subscription expiry reminders, and order updates).
To send service-related WhatsApp messages, provided we have your consent.

4. Data Storage and Processors

We do not sell your data. We use the following trusted service providers to store and process your data:

Supabase (EU Region): For storing user account data, orders, and portal access records.
Supabase Storage: For securely storing academic file uploads.
Razorpay: For payment processing. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to your payment data.
Upstash Redis: Used strictly for rate limiting (processing IP addresses and request counts). This data is not permanently stored or personally identifiable.
Vercel: For website hosting and standard server logs.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary:

Account data: Retained while your account is active, and for 7 years after closure to comply with legal obligations.
Payment records: Retained for 7 years for UK financial record-keeping requirements.
Academic order details: Retained for 3 years.
Rate limiting data (Redis): Automatically expires and is not permanently stored.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Right to Erasure: Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
